18.44 RCW/WAC

Independent Escrow Agents in the State of Washington are regulated by a legislative mandate RCW 18.44. The Department of Financial Institutions is responsbile for overseeing this WAC. This WAC requires all independent escrow agents be licensed. Licensing requirements include sitting for a state examination. For more particulars see the Reg. and the oversight agency site.
